yet another fast paced thriller "power"

a riveting story of Alexander Dolgun who gets sentenced to the Soviet hard prison life without any trial and loses nearly twenty years and everything else he held dear in his life.

Finished the first story - Lord of the Far Island. An intriguing tale of changing fortunes of a poor orphan wrapped around the mysteries of her family and an isolated island estate. Filled with moderately spaced gripping events and a plot not too complex, and not too shallow either. I have taken a liking to this author Victoria Holt's way of writing.
