Thomas saw one of the runners about to exit the maze, but the gate was closing. He was carrying another runner that was with him. Thomas saw that they weren’t going to make it, there was about two feet left before the gate closes. Thomas wanted to help. So he sprinted into the one and a half gap and barely made it.

Thomas just entered inside the maze, in this rattling box. When the people who have been living there just saw him. They thought of him as a weak, and a new greenie to the community. Why do the people who live in the community push him aside and does not accept him as a teammate? Why would they create this maze for these boys that could get killed to find a way out?
