This book is basically all just a diary-style report by General Quincy Adams Gillmore detailing his time at the Fort, attacks upon the fort and what weaponry was used in and on it. Detailed maps and illustrations are helping it along. It's a relatively short read, but written in a daily log format that is making it less interesting than informative.
