I started this book of short stories some time ago, reading one story at a time, but never became interested enough to continue beyond one story a sitting. Reading a book of essays, "Native American Fiction" by David Treuer, which contains a criticism of Sherman Alexie and perhaps explains a little about why I haven't been overwhelmed so far by Mr. Alexie.
