Wow, you've been reading a lot of "oldies" lately, Melissa. Are you working on reducing your TBR before "the big move" next month?

Well, I have all my books in bins now. So sometimes when I am trying to fit just one more in a bin, I randomly pick out a book that sounds good and read it.Plus seeing all of my books stacked in bins made me vow to read more of them and start making Wish Lists instead of buying. I have them stacked in the living room and my husband kept looking at them yesterday saying "Wow you have a lot of books." Crap, that was why they were hidden in the closet and under the bed, so it didn't seem like so many!
So I am definitely going to work on reducing the TBR pile one book at a time.
I'm having my house painted and yesterday I had to take all my precious books off my shelves and pack them in (liquor) boxes. Everything is disordered and random and I feel so antsy :-(

I let my husband know that I am going to personally move all my book bins so I know where they are and make sure they are okay. They are top on my priority list.

LOL! Uh-oh - You finally had to "come out of the closet" on the totality of your book collection with your hubby Melissa. Yikes! Just don't remind him about how many more you have on your Kindle!! ;D
I hadn't seen that you apparently found your dream home. Congrats! Too bad there's that "moving" thing that kind of spoils the excitement. It's a good time to purge all that junk we all accumulate through the years though . . . NOT BOOKS mind you . . . stuff like hubby's sports memoriabilia (at least at my house)! LOL! ;D
K.
When I moved back home from CA, I purposely got rid of as much of my stuff as I could just so I could keep most/all of my books. LOL!Being on the road has cause me to quadruple my book collection. Nothing else to do except go to the bookstore. :)

K,
My hubby hates clutter and likes technology so he thinks the Kindle is a cool thing. He is glad that my books are organized but he was probably a bit surprised at just how many bins I had full of them. He doesn't really care how many books I have but he is probably wondering how much I spent on them :) But he's smart enough not to ask since it's not like I questioned his $1700 camera.
Seriously, he loves going through stuff and getting rid of stuff we don't use. He happily started throwing away/donating stuff while I was studying for weeks. I went out to the kitchen one night and had to say "Where is our rug?" because he decided to throw it away.
We have gone through all of our stuff and got rid of a lot. We start moving next Thursday, oh joy.

K,
We found a house in October. We saw it on Saturday, decided it was perfect for us, then bought it on Sunday! The timing was horrible for me with studying for my exam but we managed to get all the mortgage stuff and paperwork squared away.
It is very exciting but it will be a lot more work for me to keep an entire house clean. Plus we want to paint a few rooms and do a few renovation projects.
