From some of these cases it looks like very often the difference between a conspiracy theory and a political scandal where it's difficult to get much accurate information about exactly WHAT happened is not exactly clear to define - maybe it helps that the author is British and the UK has a much lower degree of public transparency than say the US?

getting to the religious conspiracies chapter right now, apparently you don't have to go that far back before anti-Catholic paranoia in the UK/US was basically identical in character both rhetorical and ideological to that directed at Jews and Muslims

a lot of the info is illuminating but not as much "conspiracy theory" as just criminal and political conspiracies that just are accepted historical fact now - since the author is British it's pretty good crash course on UK political scandals as a matter of fact, it's just sandwiched in there with a lot of conjecture and personal opinion

this is pretty damn exhaustive on the more shadowy side of UK politics, there's a lot of scandals here I've never heard of before now, but also very opinionated and quite a few factual errors I spotted so I don't know how much I really can take the author's word for

this is more opinionated than I thought it would be - though I am surprised to know that Al Qaeda's often wilfully misunderstood by the West, who act like it's a centralized organization and not a broader ideology claimed by different groups that have no actual contact with each other - the insightful part is that Western intelligence agencies often lump in other unconnected Islamists with them
