Oh dear. Such a beautiful story has turned horrific half way through. It could possibly give me a heart attack. So far, the native stock of two orchids has become extinct in only a 75-year period in Colombia. Indigenous communities sent into the forest to fetch orchids by sellers (“collectors”) are getting sick. Hope things turn around in second half. 🤢
