This book is interesting. It is haunting and very relate-able, but I am a little disappointed in the lack of science in this sci-fi novel.

It was in the sci-fi, YA section at the library. So I was expecting some sci-fi. That's all.
Oh gotcha. That’s weird.. YA sci fi?! It read like fiction and not even YA fiction. I wouldn’t classify it as YA sci-fi

I read in some reviews that it wouldn't be good for true YA but it isn't Adult fiction either. There is all sorts of debate in some of the reviews on the classification of the novel.
Overall, it was a good read as long as you don't read it as a Sci-fi or other specific genre.
