Up to this point, I read about how Valley's father has made his children live in seclusion and made them stay hidden from everyone else after their mom died. I predict that from this point, Valley and her brother will eventually defy their father rules and go out into the public. By doing this, they will come to find out that everyone else is not as bad and evil as their father convinced them to believe.
