The gimmick for travel between planets is a sort of mental transference, landing Harry on ancient Mars, etc. Sword and planet stuff ensues, and of course he meets a pretty woman who is adept with a sword, and knows about the transfer. Lots of exotic beasts, plants, architecture, etc.
