You build a house with faulty foundation and dying soil and you are going to fall through the floor eventually. But someone has to finally say you can't repair it.

The statement itself is predatory. Romance is an intimate business?
Would you respond that way to someone raped by a significant other? Well, relationships are intimate.
That's nice. Rape and sexual harassment and the like are not intimate.
I am appalled and disgusted. While I adore authors who have work at Riptide, I will not spend any money there. At all. I can't. See above.
They aren't broken. They can't be fixed. They are just problematic. That's it. You can't fix that.
