Catherine's declaration of love for Heathcliff has to be the most beautiful part of the whole book, yet it's also tragic because she is too prideful to be with him. It's heart wrenching! And grating how selfish she is too.

Talk about a terrifying moment when Catherine tried to come through the window in the dream!

I love how well Bronte paints a picture in these first few chapters. Mr. Lockhart thinks he is so isolated, but I think he is just shy and covers it up by looking mean. Heathcliff after all makes him look friendly! Poor guy.
