Kinda wanna step out of my comfort zone and read something a little more serious-but still fictional. All I read are paranormal, fantasy, erotica novels. Any one have any suggestions?

Have you read the Guild Hunter series by Nalini Singh? It’s my all time favorite paranormal - I compare them all to this one. The world is so unique, the characters are amazing (a lot of ACTUAL badass females) and develop throughout the series (I hate Raphael in the beginning, I thought he was an ass but now I love him. He is so different from the first book) and the storyline is sooo good. Okay, yeah, I’m obsessed with these so I need to stop now or else I’ll continue to ramble. Hm, let me see if I can think up a few more. When you say more series do you mean more serious topics? Darker? Do they have to have romance/fantasy or are you open to others like thrillers?

Okay, so something that has more “adult” context/ darker themes, but only in a fantasy world? Nothing non-fiction, which I get because I find a lot of those boring - unless it’s out serial killers😹 I’m all about dark and demented and I think I have some you might like. Let me look at my shelves and yours.
Okay, based on your shelves I think you would LOVE the Guild Hunters series. A few others you might enjoy.Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier (this is set in the real world but it’s like P&P meets mystery)
An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir
A Darker Shade of Magic by Victoria Schwab
Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton
The next ones are a little more intense
Misery by Stephen King
Marrow by Tarryn Fisher *this is definitely darker but she is my favorite author so I always have to mention her*
