It's a shame that so much of what actually happens never makes it into the history text books! Some of these events took place before I was old enough to attend school, yet I never heard or read bout these events in any history class through high school! I graduated HS in 1961. Why were we never made aware. We learned that the US and its allies were victorious, but nothing about these events.
