Another 3 chapters read, and this book is not redeeming itself. Spencer is trying to cite examples, but as they're incidents I am familiar with, I know them to be false or misleadingly presented, and that's casting the entire rest of his argument into doubt. Fleming Rose's The Tryranny of Silence was much better, if only because it stuck to the actual facts.
