It's interesting how many characters and events from the book are used in the show, yet this book and its television adaptation are so completely different.
(Quentin is a real jerk in the book. I like TV Quentin more.)

Book Quentin is a much angrier depressed character than his television counterpart.
TV Quentin is pretty whiny, but this Quentin is a self absorbed jerk of a guy.
