reading this was akin... i felt... reawakened in me... my initial reading of... kerouac's 'on the road'... it started off easy... furst person perspective... then got 'picked up' / detourned by a stranger... ala neal cassidy...
in 'the family' this stranger... who takes us fer a ride / hijacks us / narrative... is an apparently loose... but in reality a rather well organized... historical re-telling of... dogmatic conservative theology... stretched 'tapestry-like' across the generations... by a self reinforcing network of... tightly clustered enclosed... overlapping concentric circles... of so-called christians... many later revealed to be merely charlatans... cheap snake-oil carny hucksters... in collusion with 'never ashamed to admit it'... in it fer themselves & th' almighty... dollar bill... good ol fashion'd amerikkkan bidnessmen... in th' warp'd rationalization of... 'jeezus does best fer... ...those who do best fer themselves...'
at times i thought it mebbe could've... used a bit of better editing... lord knos i knos i could... so yea... it kinda meander'd ( like this revue ) but the footnotes / end ref notes... acktually left me wanting more... like really mainly mebbe sum pics... of the older / long dead luminaries... why was this omitted? mebbe the ongoing groops have abused... copyright law to 'bury' their ties to... what appears to be an unseemly past?
would also lurve t' see... sum of the documents... referred to thru-out th' book... fer shure fer shure...
