In India, there's stability despite chaos. Stability comes through the many institutions, formal and informal, that we have. Chaos has the cliche reasons; incl the reactionary setting up of some of the formal and informal institutions.
But, we survive, and thrive somewhat, because "new institutional forms may.. reflect experimentation.. in the throes of revolutionary social change."
Hah.
We're doing ok, basically.
