I could be an outright bastard, had done some really fucked up shit, but Ridley lit up my dark world. Being with me might not be all rainbows and sunshine, and maybe she could have done better than a dirty old biker, but I’d make her my entire world. What I felt for her was stronger than anything I’d experienced before. It was all consuming, and I knew I’d fuck up anyone who tried to come between us.

Dread settled in my gut, and I knew that whatever Wire told us was going to change things. I ended the call and crawled back into bed with Ridley, but fuck me if sleep would come.
