Best chapter so far. Poignant discussion of Scanlon’s constructivism, and response to Street’s variety. I still agree with Street over Scanlon, but this is useful.

Discussion of logic feels largely vestigial; discussion of Rawls is very good, but there isn’t a lot of reason to think it relevant yet.

Grinding along slowly; some choices that I’m not sure about, but still very clear.

Very dense. Take time with reading it, but very interesting and careful parsing.

Enjoying the discussion of mathematical ontology and normative reducibility. Not sure why he’s not into Putnam’s pragmatist approach, but looking forward to his exploration.

As usual, Scanlon just dives right in to the real stuff. Enjoy his writing, and this is very short and pleasant.
