The foreword by Freeman Dyson was wonderful. The foreword, introduction and the first chapter which I have read so far has given me a much needed overview of the current state of mathematics starting with a brief history. Many of the terms I commonly hear mathematicians talk about make sense now, thanks to the birds eye view given by the book which does not delve into too much detail which would definitely put me off for the unnecessary amount of time that would cost. Can't wait to proceed.
