Glad I stuck it out. Not sure if it's my head space or the writing itself, but the book is really starting to gain momentum. Sudjic is a little like the Austen of architecture; his love stories are of architects with themselves and their lust for power/proximity to it, and so much of his writing is quick, entertaining and quite savage in its sarcasm

This is some heaving going, although there is much to be learned. I would have liked a greater amount of photo references to the buildings discussed; that just seems like common sense
