At the beginning of the book Isabelle is picked on a lot and she had no friends because she was not in the open, but now she is more open and has made a ton of friends because of Jeremy. She has started to have more self confidence and stand up to the people who pick on her. She is making more mature decisions.

Isabelle seems to be a character who has very little self confidence. I say this because she seems to make negative comments about herself and compares herself to other people very harshly. She does not think much of her looks or her personality.
