I’m not sure how a book about a butch lesbian drug dealer is this boring but uh it is. 50% in and I don’t care at all about the romance, laurel’s character is just soo idk basic boring closed off and all her interactions with cash are weird remarks that should be hurtful and demeaning but somehow aren’t because it’s “smart witty sarcastic” humor. Even the drug drama is boring like wtf mate????

I know the humor in this is intentionally dry but uhhh this shit is like the Sahara like the banter between cash and laurel, I get that it’s supposed to be drily sarcastic and witty but it’s mostly just unfunny in my opinion pleaseeee get better

This writing style is really clear cut and simplistic but it kinda feels detached almost which isn’t terrible but it’s....idk we’ll see
