Haven’t decided if I’m going to continue. I know it’s a debut but every sentence starts with “I” and that’s a pet peeve for me. “I walked to the corner. I peeked around. I could sense danger.” Those aren’t direct quotes, just paraphrasing. I don’t want to read a diary. It makes the writing immature.
