This book, BY FAR has better writing than the first one. HUGE relief. Read this much in one sunny afternoon on my porch, and absolutely loving it. Slower, yes, but more descriptions. And.... Nikolai.

Can I just say that I love Nikolai? (no idea if I spelled that right, I don't have the book in front of me, lol) anyways. He's great, and even though I knew who he really was long before it was announced, I still wasn't bummed at all by the obviousness of it. Because hey, he's an amazing character and it totally makes up for it.
