I see you found The Pillars of the Earth. I hope you like it, I've heard many opinions, but I have to read it yet.

Thanks Andrew! It sure is an enjoyment to run into a book you've been looking for for a while at a steal of a deal. Buying from big retailers is just not the same. I have a large paperback of The Pillars somewhere in my boxes (bought at the library sale), but this little mass market is perfect to take on the go. I've been meaning to read it since the show came out, like 8 years ago? :) Oh my, I really need to read it already.

I agree, Andrea! I haven't' seen the show, but I hope to read the book, before. :)

I loved all of these - Barkskins and Pillars of the earth particularly. Haven't read Margaret George - will look out for your review.

Thanks Naomi, this is encouraging to hear. Margaret George is one of those authors I always wanted to try. Her Autobiography of Henry VIII has been on my list for ages. It's kind of funny that 4 out of 5 of these books are historical fiction - a genre that I don't often read anymore. I really want to get back into it, because it's awesome!

This was the first time I saw Eddie Redmayne on screen and I was really impressed with his acting. Today, as we know, he is quite acclaimed. I actually stopped watching the show after two episodes, because I really liked it and wanted to read the book first, but for some reason I kept delaying. At least I don't know any spoilers.
