I like reading Asian authors. Thanks was an amazing book. Although it's about Christian missionaries in 17th century Japan, as one author put it who was influenced by this work put it "you no more have to be a Christian to enjoy this work than you have to be a Russian to enjoy 'Crime and Punishment'. This is one of the greatest work by one of the greatest Japanese authors. Very moving and suspenseful, poetic.
