I can't understand how this book was nominated for any awards. It's as if it completely skipped the editing process. It contained hundreds of pages with characters waxing on with progressive rants that did nothing for the plot of the story. It may have made a decent short story or novella if all of that was cut out, but I doubt it. The author didn't even bother to research some of the issues discussed.
