Red makes a lot more sense now. Mei has her plate full, considering what she now knows. She is not powerful enough to take on the council of ten. And throwing away the power and clout she currently has would be stupid. She therefore has to lie low and not share this outside of her inner circle once she gets back to Mynyddamore.
