If vampires are known in the world why are they treated as vermin & not as another type of supernatural? Just set up a system in which vampires can obtain blood in an acceptable & legal manner. If vampires the vampires don’t have a legal way of obtaining substance of course they’ll take blood from corpses or live humans. It’s a flawed system that’s set up for failure.

I understand tampering with a dead body can be a felony but what I don’t understand is the expectation that vampires without the virus are limited to the taking of blood in animals. That’s illogical
