The narrative style is rly interesting bc Rowell plops you down in the middle of the story acting like the readers know what the hell Simon's talking about, then proceeds to pummel exposition into 8 pages with a list. I assume its because she expects everyone to already be familiar with Harry Potter, but she wants to highlight the differences? Also Simon is p likeable and obv crushing on Baz and I alr love Penelope
