I got spoiled about Jason dying, so I wasn't expecting to get hit by it. But holy fuck! That scene was amazing. Not just the way Jason sacrificed himself. But Apollo stabbing his currently-mortal chest with the Arrow of Dodona, knowing that he could actually die? That was not something I was prepared for. And that little aside about suicide taking a lot of willpower? Amazing! I'm so glad to be reading this series.
