Today in our first day of Jr. K we started in on the first stanza of the morning prayer and ended our school day with Thank Thee, Lord. I think these illustrations are fabulous as always with Eloise Wilkins and I really look forward to teaching my daughter more prayers to say. There is absolutely nothing more precious than hearing her pray on her own unprompted.

Today we just started reading "The Gift". This one is new to us and hints at Christmas and the Little Drummer Boy. We're a few weeks behind, but enjoying everything in here. My three year old is impressing me with her memorization skills.

Today we just started reading "A Child's Prayer", this is a much longer one. I love these little images and prayers and I'm treasuring the ones that so far she has really been able to repeat. I wish I could come up with a way for us to see it more often to work on the memorization. Maybe make flashcards perhaps? Who knows.
