This is an excellent take so far on a modern fantasy criminal underworld. People can 'tunnel' from our reality to that of the Vei, and criminals are exploiting this for smuggling runs and the sale of illegal contraband between realities. Also, a talented tunneller can use tunnels as a method of spying and as a weapon of sorts. I like the style and voice of the writing too
