When you become the boss you must work extra hard to earn your team’s trust. You may be worried about earning their respect, and that’s natural, unfortunately though being overly focused about earning respect will backfire because it will make you extra defensive when criticized. On the other hand, if you can listen to the criticism and react well to it, trust and respect will follow.
