Some very poignant lines...I'll save it for my review. The story and author, Jock Serong are growing on me. On the Java Ridge is a worthwhile read, so far. Keen to finish it.

It's well written and maintains a constant level of tension...happy to continue reading ( wish I had more time... ) although it fails to grab me by the scruff to compel me to find out where it's leading me to.

Like this, very much so far...and growing on me quickly. Jock Serong's writing is easy to read, portrays his characters well, considering they all come from cultural backgrounds vastly different, including the ones from Canberra...
