"The only warning anyone receives after crossing the Mekong into Laos is about medical facilities. There are no medical facilities. Travelers are told not to get hurt. They are told that if they do get hurt, they will either die, or suffer terribly trying to get themselves back into Thailand for help. Most likely they will die" (72). That-that's a good warning to have!

Follow safety regulations, and do not move around in confusion.

Really enjoying this so far. Minor typo on p. 25 (apostrophe missing), but considering the amount of typos in one of the books I just finished reading (published by a well-known press! at least, well known for being Zebra), I have no complaints. Liking the narrator's voice and waiting in fear of more monkeys.
