As I read on, what really shocks me is how low the so-called genteel in those days could sink to, in order to barter off their daughter's honor, for monetary gains. And I never knew siblings in those days could speak so in-hesitantly about co-habitation as if it was a fairytale! But Gregory's style of prose is magnetic, keeps you wanting more. :)

Having read the book till now, the most important thing I have realised is that TIME is the biggest player. You never know how you end up at the last. And also, Gregory has shown, through Mary Boleyn, that the most prized possession one can have is True Love. Being used by men in her life for status, for money, for lust. she finally found a man who wanted her for herself, for love.
