In a return to West Uist in the Hebrides, there is no lack of excitement. The Daisy Institute has taken up residence in the community, their focus is the coming Summer Solstice. It is headed by a man who is seeking new recruits, but isolates them for a three-month period for inner focus. Not everyone is pleased by this! Torquil has to deal with a seconded officer seeking to clean up things within the police force.
