Honestly can't take it anymore. Even the sex scenes are ridiculous. This is it, it's going on my DNF shelf! Finally.

I don't know why I'm torturing myself... this is by far the worst book I've read in a long time. Narcissistic mountain men aren't my cup of tea.

I should add that I'm listening to the audiobook (at 1,5x speed) and that the narrator is... well, quite awful. But then again, so is the book.

Max keeps ordering Nina around, deciding what she can and can't do, always with a 'baby', 'honey' or 'darling'. Or 'duchess'. She sometimes describes him as 'dangerous' or 'scary'. Or 'hot'. This is boring.

Am I the only one really disliking this Max character? He's self-centered and controlling, and that's supposed to be sexy? Nope, not in my book (pun intended). Honestly, I'm not really a fan of Nina either. This book may actually end up on my DNF shelf. Still hoping for a twist to make it interesting though...
