So a couple of things:
I'm pretty sure witch hysteria was mostly a thing of the past by 1820.
Why does any one live in this town if 3 young guys die every summer without fail. Like its a small town that's a significant amount of teenagers dying every year. Everyone seems to believe in this curse to some degree so why just why would you live there???
Also there a typo and that just really took me out of the story.
