This is a book about a aging professor who has been dx'd with an incurable brain disease similar to Alzheimers. He witnesses what looks like a kidnapping of a 16 year old girl. He knows he has to try to help her before his brain and therefore, his memory, is so damaged, that he will be unable to help her.
