Rereading the first books in the series always makes me fall in love with Aelin just a little more because look at how far she's come, look at how much she's grown. What a queen. WHAT A QUEEN.

Still love this book (and series) to bits but boy do I miss Rowan and Manon and Aedion and Lysandra and and and

My favourite thing about TOG series is how pretty much everyone starts as an arrogant asshole, but then ends up at the rock bottom and has to crawl out of there.

Seeing all these characters in this very first book makes me want to cry because they've all come so, so far.
