I need to read this. I started it years ago, enjoyed it and then for some reason didn't finish it. Do you like it?

I like it but I am not so sure that I am in the mood for it at the moment, I am sort of in the mood for Washington Irving .. especially his The Legend of Sleepy Hallow and Rip Van Winkle,

It must just be the time of the year for these classics! Soon enough we will find ourselves pulling out Charles Dickens <3

LOL...Definitely that time of year, Maggie. Totally in the mood for them myself, especially after the other day when a little neighbor boy came along selling popcorn for Boy Scouts and told us he was dressing up as The Headless Horseman for Halloween. One of my favorites!

That is one thing that I miss about home, Halloween :( It is not a big thing here, barely anyone decorates or hands out candy, it just sucks!

I think that if I ever have a child I would take it back to my home town come Halloween just so him/or/her can trick or treat properly!

I grew up so far out in the country that we never really had trick-or-treaters. It was too far between houses so most went into town. This will be the first year I get to actually have real trick-or-treaters other than the year I handled giving out the candy at my sister's house when she was out of state with her husband who was having brain surgery to stop his seizures.
