I'm still not happy that this book won the BookTubeAThon coin flip, it's dense (in a good way), confusing to listen to on audiobook as, specifically in the first chapter, it moves back and forth through time with no notice, and the dictation isn't clear enough to listen to a 2x speed. Still, I am very intrigued by the story and characters, tomorrow I shall continue!

Holy crap, this section contains some really juicy scenes, including a twist that knocked me on my ass. BTW, I’m reading 6 chapters a day in case anyone was wondering and these six chapters are by far the best in the entire book so far, and that’s saying something! This will probably be my last update for this book because I’ll be finishing this tomorrow!

And we have our first sex scene, at least the first that really counts, still this is most definitely not a YA novel, I mean, that might have been more graphic than anything in the ACOTAR series. As for the actual story, still loving it so far, so much tension and excitement. Until tomorrow.

While this book still has some bits of it that are denser than others, I mean there's so much freaking world-building that I sometimes get confused, I'm still drinking this book up and cannot wait to continue tomorrow. This was very dark, deliciously dark, section.

Well... that's a heck of a place to end things off for today! Still a bit salty about getting the longer book in the coin toss, but I'm fucking loving this story so far. So dark and mysterious and it's getting a lot easier to soak in now that I'm getting used to writing style.

Okay, so this is a pretty dense book. The writing is absolutely breathtaking and the story is very compelling but there's no way I can, nor should, read this in time for my next review. Instead I think I'll pick something shorter to read and just read this in between books bit by bit.
