You do have to feel a bit sorry for the editors of Social Text, so utterly taken in by ALan D. Sokal's spoof article 'Transgressing the Boundaries: Towards a Transformative Hermeneutics of Quantum Gravity', a very large bowl of Theory gumbo indeed. But Sokal moved in on quantum mathematics making all the right-sounding Theoretical anti-foundationalist and anti-hegemonic noises...
