I totally missed the author's name thrust into the narrative of the first chapter during the two or three readings of that page I attempted while in CA. When I got home and finally picked it up again, there it was like a slap in the face. 'What else were you too fatigued to notice?' my mind accused.

I really enjoyed the first chapter and felt like I had switched books reading the second. Perhaps it was familiarity?
