This book has helped wean me off automatic brewing machines that yield coffee that only seems to taste good when using branded, prepackaged pods (not all the cool roasts I come across when visiting cafes and independent roasters). Now I'm actually enjoying my coffee from local roasters.

The book is surprisingly practical and fascinating, with parts I am tempted to read aloud to others.
