Wow character limits,so Twitter. Anyway set in Seattle, and it even mentions the sun shining and nice weather! The premise is good too - near future setting, testing an AR game. I don't think I have any major spoilers yet.
Okay here are some. It's a bit utopian so far. Not in a lovey dove way, but they have clean air and free electricity and 3.3 petabyte dl on the AR goggles! We can only hope...

Interesting. The book just mentioned Mintaka, which is heavily mentioned in a Piers Anthony novel, and I don't know if that made me think it, but this book reminds me of Piers Anthony too - mundane environment made magical.

Many of the books I have read recently are based in the Pacific north-west and involve police of some type catching serial killers. Mostly I read them because the audio book was free too and I could listen in the car. They weren't awful, but they did make me think I should never go to that part of the world just in case.
Anyway that ramble was to set the stage for me saying that this book (so far) is set in Seattle.
